Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission invites applications for the following posts, existing/ anticipated vacancies, which are to be filled up on deputation/contract recruitment basis in accordance with the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Management & Development of Human Resources) Regulations 2001 (as amended from time to time). However, the preferred mode ofrecruitment is deputation. The Regulations can be downloaded from DERC’s Website: www.derc.gov.in A separate application for the post is to be submitted as per the given instructions:GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. The preferred mode of appointment for all these posts is deputation from Central/State/UT Government Departments, Statutory/Autonomous/ Constitutional/Cooperative/Local Govt. Bodies and Public Sector Undertakings, Corporations etc. under administrative control of Central/State/UT Governments. In the event of non availability of suitable candidates for appointment on deputation, the posts can be filled up on contractrecruitment basis. The Commission shall have full discretion to fill up the posts through any of the two modes viz. Deputation/ contract recruitment as per the specific requirement. The Commission’s decision in this regard shall be final.
2. The number of vacancies against a post may vary and also Commission reserves the right not to fill any or all the above mentioned anticipated/Existing vacancies. The Commission can also consider granting extension in the deputation term of the existing incumbents of the anticipated vacancies given above. In the case of any such eventuality, no action on the applications received against these anticipated vacancies shall be taken by the Commission and the advertisement of such vacancies shall be treated as withdrawn.
3. The Pay & Allowances and other terms and conditions of appointments on deputation basis will be regulated in accordance with the instructions contained in the Department of Personnel & Training OM NO. 2/29/91-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 05.01.1994, as amended from time to time. The pay package of the deputation recruits/contract appointees, if any, shall be in accordance with the DERC (Management & Development of Human Resources) Regulations, as amended from time to time, which includes Basic pay, Dearness allowance, HRA, Transport allowance, Children education assistance, reimbursement of residential newspaper/magazines/telephone/internet to eligible categories, and other benefits etc. All DERC employees shall be covered under DERC (Medical Attendance) Regulations, 2003 which provides flexible medical reimbursement scheme. The Human Resources Regulations and the Medical Attendance Regulations can be seen at the Commission’s Website. The employees appointed on deputation basis are also eligible for the leased accommodation/ self lease within the ceiling prescribed by the Commission.
4. The maximum age limit for deputation shall be 56 years.
5. The crucial date for determining eligibility criteria/age limit in respect of anticipated vacancies would be the last day of the month in which the anticipated vacancy is likely to arise. The crucial date for the existing vacancies for determining eligibility criteria/age limit would be the last date prescribed for submission of application in the Commission
6. For fulfilling the eligibility criteria of these posts, regular service of certain years in various pay scales has been prescribed as essential qualification. The pay scale shown in the eligibility criteria are Central Dearness Allowance pattern pay scales applicable w.e.f. 1.1.1996 and the eligibility of candidates shall be accordingly determined with reference to these pay scales. The eligibility of such candidates who are working in Public Sector Undertakings or other Govt. Organizations where Industrial/Variable Dearness Allowance pattern is applicable shall be determined by equating their IDA/VDA pattern Pay scale with the requisite CDA pattern Payscales of eligibility in the following manner:

How to fill Online Application

1. Follow instructions carefully while filling applications.
2. Enter correct data in the relevant columns as required.

3. The application form is divided in 4 parts:

a. Personal Details
b. Education
c. Experience
d. Other Information

4. Field marked with * is a mandatory field and requires to be filled.

5. In the 4th Part ‘Other Information’, you are required to fill the characters shown in the image as a security for application. In case the image displayed is not clear, remove the temporary internet files of the browser and click the ‘Regenerate Image’ button. A new image will be generated and you can proceed further by entering the characters of the image.

NOTE : Application can be submitted only once. Hence clicking the ‘SUBMIT’ button is a critical step, as no corrections will be possible subsequently. So you should ensure once again that the information is correct before submitting

6. After submitting application, a 14 digit Registration Number will be generated. Kindly note this Registration Number carefully as this will be used for all future correspondence.

7. After registration, take two print-outs of the Application summary. For printing ensure that the computer is connected to a printer with A4 size paper and header and footer are removed from page setup. In case printer is not available, you can save the form and print it at your convenience. Please note that site will not be open for printing after 20:00 hours of 05.10.2010.

8. Retain one printed copy with you and forward the other copy duly signed as per directions given below :

* Enclose attested true copies of the testimonials such as Mark-sheets and certificates of all Educational Qualification, Caste/Tribe certificate (if applicable), experience certificate etc.

Haryana Staff Selection Commission Result of JBT Teachers

1.On the basis of interviews held in the months of August and September, 2010, the Commission has finalized the result for the under mentioned category of post. The candidates with following roll numbers have been selected. The result has been shown roll number wise and category wise and the marks secured by the last selected candidate in each category have been shown in bracket.
2. The interviews of the eligible candidates who are working on the posts of JBT Teacher as guest teachers and impleaded as petitioners and also applied against Advt. No. 4/2009, Category No. 01 have already been conducted in compliance of interim orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in SLP No. 9247 of 2010-Gopal Singh & ors and other connected petitions after due publication of public notices dated 26.8.2010 & 30.8.2010 in various newspapers. However, result of such candidates is not required to be declared unless directed by the Hon’ble Apex Court. The above said result will further be subject to the final decision of Hon’ble Apex Court in the aforesaid SLPs.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The candidates who are already in Govt. / Corporation or Autonomous Bodies Service should apply through proper channel. They may send an advance copy to avoid delay but the application through proper channel should reach before the due date or they should produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of interview, otherwise they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
2. Submission of incomplete application i.e. without attested copies of testimonials/ academic career/experience certificate prescribed fee may render the candidate ineligible.
3. The number of posts is liable to increase or decrease either way, including complete withdrawal, without assigning any reason.
4. The abbreviation G.C. stands for General Category, S.C. for Scheduled Caste, BC for Backward Class ESM for Ex-Serviceman and P.H.C. for physically handicapped.
5. Passport size photograph duly attested shall be affixed on the application form.
6. The reserved post will be filled up as per latest Haryana Govt. instruction.
7. If applications for any advertised posts are received in large numbers, the appointing authority can hold a written test for short listing the candidates for interview or on the basis of rational criteria. The decision of the appointing authority in all matters including suitability of the candidates, mode and criteria for selection etc. will be final and binding on the candidates. No enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
8. The eligibility of the candidates i.e. qualification, experience and age will be considered upto the last date of applications i.e. 17.10.2010
9. Candidates will have to undergo trade test/ written test/ typing on Computer Stenography test etc. as applicable and decided by the competent authority wherever applicable.
10. No TA/DA for attending the interview etc. will be paid.
11. For each posts applications be submitted separately.
12. Candidates must write (Application for the post of “………………”) on the top of envelop in which the application is being submitted.
13. The bank drafts of Rs. 250/-(Rs. 70/- for SC/ST Candidates) as application fee for all the posts in favour of Registrar, BPSMV Khanpur Kalan (Sonipat) payable at Punjab National Bank, Khanpur Kalan (Sonipat).
14. The last date of receipt of applications in the office of Registrar, BPSMV, Khanpur Kalan- 17.10.2010 upto 5:00 P.M. In case, due to any circumstances is declared a holiday, the application shall be received by 5:00 PM on the next working day. Applications received after this date shall be summarily rejected.
15. For non-teaching posts the applicant should be between 18 to 40 years as on 17.10.2010. Relaxation to reserved category will be as per Haryana Govt. policy.
16. Submission of incomplete application may render the candidates ineligible.
17. Application received after the last date of submission will not be entertained. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay in submission of the application.

How to apply:
1. Interested candidates may apply online in the prescribed application format, which may be accessed from the Institute web site http://www.nitc.ac.in. Institute shall accept the application only through the online submissions.

2. Application forms with adequate information as required in the online format completed in all respects received on or before 29th October 2010 shall be sent for consideration in the forthcoming round of selection process. Application received after this date may be considered in the forthcoming selection round or deferred to the next round depending on administrative convenience. Incomplete application forms will not be entertained. Applicants in service will have to send the hard copy though proper channel also.

3. If situation demands Institute would choose to inform the candidate through more than one means like email, fax, phone etc. So, complete address for communication may be furnished by the respective candidates.
4. Separate applications would be needed for different posts if one candidate is applying for more than one post.

5. There is no application fee or registration fee. Candidates called for interview will be paid TA/DA as per Institute rules.

6. Applications for faculty positions will be received any time during the year. Accumulated applications will be considered in the selection committee when it meets, as mentioned above.

7. Applicant shall have the freedom to fill up the online application stage by stage, but only if it is found completed and saved according to the instructions, the applications shall be sent for screening process.

Hi friends! I am Obli Rajesh. I got selected as Executive Trainee-2010 in NTPC.I belong to mechanical discipline. I want to share my experience about the GD & PI process of NTPC.

The written test was held on 2/5/2010.The written test had 85 questions with 1/4th negative marking. The results of the written test were declared on 3rd June 2010…The total number of candidates short listed was 1647 for 438 posts. So the ratio will be 1:4.the GD & PI were held at PMI, Noida.

My GD & PI was on 12-july-2010. The reporting time is 8:00 am. First, they will verify your original documents. Each one will be given a number as per their branch. For ex: Mech 1,2,3…..Electrical 1,2,3,…and so on.

Then the GD will be held. Batches of 8 members will be formed. The time for gd is 10 minutes. One can speak either in hindi or English. There will be two judges. Two topics will be given. Out of which the group has to decide about which topic they are going to speak. My GD started at 10am.

After the GD the PI is held. My turn came at 11:15am. It was a panel interview. There were five members in the board. One was the chairman. The panel members are very experienced. They seem to be around 50-60 yrs of age.

I had my summer training in Hyundai motors. My subjects of interest are thermodynamics and refrigeration & air conditioning. Some of the questions asked to me are:
1. What are the types of clutches?
2. What is the purpose of clutch?
3. What is the name of the clutch used in cars?
4. What is automatic transmission? How it works?
5. Do you know about hydraulic clutch?
6. What is the specialty of i20?
7. What kind of layout used in Hyundai assembly line?
8. What subject you want me to ask?
9. State the Second law of thermodynamics?
10. What is common between the two statements?
11. What is exergy?
12. What is availability?
13. Draw psychrometric chart?
14. How to find the dew point temperature?
15. Plot Sensible cooling?
16. Plot cooling and humidification?
17. Do you know about sensible heat factor line?
18. What is dryness fraction?
19. Plot dryness fraction on T-S diagram?
20. Which point represents zero dryness and which point represents dryness
fraction of one?
21. What apparatus will be used to measure both dry bulb and wet bulb
temperature?
22. Have you seen it?
23. You have not even seen it?
24. Does it have a handle?
25. Why it should be rotated in the air?
26. What is the type of cloth used to cover the bulb?
27. Can I use the cloth from your shirt?
28. What will be the temperature if I use it outside this room?
29. Which will be higher either DBT or WBT?
30. What is the state of this liquid in this bottle?
31. Will it have zero dryness fractions?
32. Plot the boiling of liquid on T-S diagram?
33. What is dew point depression?
34. For what it is used?
Besides these I was also asked about my native place. They asked about the SAIL steel plant in my home town (Salem, TN). My interview lasted for 30-35 minutes. It wasn’t easy. It is a combination of both hr and tech.

The interviewers will also try to stress u. They will make comments abt u. but be calm and collected. That will help u to sail through. The weightage given for written, GD & PI are in the ratio 85:5:10. So a good written score will definitely help u. The results were declared on 21/8/10. I am joining NTPC on 9th September 2010. 1. Following is the category-wise summary of 18309 candidates who have, on the basis of their performance in Paper-I of the examination, qualified provisionally for Eligibility Tests, Physical Efficiency (Endurance) Test(PET) and Medical Examination for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspectors in the CISF subject to their fulfilling all the conditions of eligibility. The details of the candidates are as follows :-
Cut-off for Male candidates in paper 1 for PE

2. Some candidates have not coded their gender (Male or Female) on the OMR answer sheets. However, such candidates who have obtained the cut-off marks or above have been considered. Following are the details of such 61 and 143 candidates who have been shortlisted on male and female cut-off respectively. The actual sex code for these candidates shall be verified and accordingly the candidates shall be called for PET examination as male or female candidate.

3. Particulars of the candidates including their category/sex status as indicated in the result have been taken from their OMR answer scripts of Paper-I. It is important for such candidates for whom certain percentage of vacancies are reserved as per the policy of the Government, to note that if any of them does not actually belong to the category/sex shown against his/her roll number, he/she may not be eligible for appearing in the Eligibility Tests, Physical Efficiency (Endurance) Test (PET) and Medical Examination. It is, therefore, in the interest of such candidates to contact the respective Regional Offices of the Commission immediately in all such cases where they do not belong to the category shown against their roll numbers in the result.
4. The list herein is PROVISIONAL. The candidates whose roll numbers figure in the list would be called for Eligibility Tests, Physical Efficiency (Endurance) Test (PET) and Medical Examination subject to their fulfilling all the eligibility conditions/ requirements as prescribed for the post in the Notice of Examination and also subject to thorough verifications of their identity with reference to their photographs, signatures, handwritings, etc., on the application forms, admission certificates, etc. If on verification from the application form, it is found that any candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, he/she will not be eligible to appear for the Eligibility Test, etc.
5. Paper-II of only those candidates who fulfil the Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & medical examination, will be evaluated and candidates qualifying in the written examination (Paper-I+Paper-II) will be called for Personality Test (Interview) in due course.
6. The Physical Efficiency (Endurance) Test (PET) and Medical Examination are expected to commence from 01.11.2010. Actual dates of the Test will be intimated to the qualified candidates by the respective Regional Office of the Commission.
7. The list of candidates qualified provisionally is also available on the Commission’s Website : http://ssc.nic.in and http://sscresults.nic.in. 8. Marks of the non-qualified would be made available on SSC’s website shortly. Marks of the qualified candidates would be made available after declaration of the final result.
