The Mahatma Gandhi University (formerly Gandhiji University), with B+ accreditation of National Assessment and Accreditation Council, was established on 2nd October 1983, as the fifth University in the southern most State of Kerala, India.
Hiving off the territorial jurisdiction of the mother institution – University of Kerala, as per the Mahatma Gandhi University Act, 12 of 1985, enacted by the Kerala Legislature, the University caters to the development of higher education of Central Kerala. SBI General Manager Press Notification Released The interviews for the captioned recruitment exercise were held in the month of April & May 2010. Around 90,000 candidates were interviewed and the tabulation of the interview marks and merging them with marks of written test is nearly complete. As therecruitment exercise is massive, checking and crosschecking of the marks has been necessitated so that it is error free. The exercise of final selection is state-wise and category-wise based on the reservations prescribed for SC, ST, OBC, etc. As such, it is equal to compilation of more than 200 independent merit lists. We expect to complete the whole exercise and release the final result in six weeks time. This is for the information of the candidates. Candidates are requested to bear this delay with us.

Eligible Candidates of ICET-2010 of the following categories are informed to exercise the options for the leftover seats now available and consequential vacancies that may arise in process of allotment and seats available in new courses/colleges, from 24.09.2010 to 27.09.2010 up to 6:00 PM from any Help Line Centre or Internet facility (Café/Home); Candidates who have secured seats but not interested to join. Who have not secured seats so far. Who have not exercised the options so far.
It is advised to exercise options assuming that vacancies would arise in all colleges.
Candidates who are satisfied with their previous allotment need not exercise option once again. They shall note that if they exercise options now and a seat is allotted, the previous allotment stands cancelled and they will have no claim on previous allotment. Candidates who have not attended for Certificate Verification earlier and who have taken back their certificates should get their Certificates verified once again from any Help Line Centre during 24.09.2010 to 26.09.2010 and exercise their options. While allotting the seats, Merit (Rank), Category, Gender and Local Area will be considered. The allotment process reads the options exercised by a candidate in order of preference at each stage. As the number of options to be exercised is not limited a candidate can give as many Number of options as possible. Hence, candidates are advised to exercise as many options and sequence them carefully. The following is the Sequence ofAllotment Process in steps:
1. Allotments under open competition for all candidates in Non-Minority institutions.
2. Allotments to minority candidates in Minority institutions.
3. Allotments under open competition in Both Non-Minority & Minority institutions for the leftover minority seats and consequential vacancies. (* Hence, candidates can opt for seats in minority colleges also).
4. Allotment to special reservation category seats under open competition.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The candidates who are already in Govt. / Corporation or Autonomous Bodies Service should apply through proper channel. They may send an advance copy to avoid delay but the application through proper channel should reach before the due date or they should produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of interview, otherwise they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
2. Submission of incomplete application i.e. without attested copies of testimonials/ academic career/experience certificate prescribed fee may render the candidate ineligible.
3. The number of posts is liable to increase or decrease either way, including complete withdrawal, without assigning any reason.
4. The abbreviation G.C. stands for General Category, S.C. for Scheduled Caste, BC for Backward Class ESM for Ex-Serviceman and P.H.C. for physically handicapped.
5. Passport size photograph duly attested shall be affixed on the application form.
6. The reserved post will be filled up as per latest Haryana Govt. instruction.
7. If applications for any advertised posts are received in large numbers, the appointing authority can hold a written test for short listing the candidates for interview or on the basis of rational criteria. The decision of the appointing authority in all matters including suitability of the candidates, mode and criteria for selection etc. will be final and binding on the candidates. No enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
8. The eligibility of the candidates i.e. qualification, experience and age will be considered upto the last date of applications i.e. 17.10.2010
9. Candidates will have to undergo trade test/ written test/ typing on Computer Stenography test etc. as applicable and decided by the competent authority wherever applicable.
10. No TA/DA for attending the interview etc. will be paid.
11. For each posts applications be submitted separately.
12. Candidates must write (Application for the post of “………………”) on the top of envelop in which the application is being submitted.
13. The bank drafts of Rs. 250/-(Rs. 70/- for SC/ST Candidates) as application fee for all the posts in favour of Registrar, BPSMV Khanpur Kalan (Sonipat) payable at Punjab National Bank, Khanpur Kalan (Sonipat).
14. The last date of receipt of applications in the office of Registrar, BPSMV, Khanpur Kalan- 17.10.2010 upto 5:00 P.M. In case, due to any circumstances is declared a holiday, the application shall be received by 5:00 PM on the next working day. Applications received after this date shall be summarily rejected.
15. For non-teaching posts the applicant should be between 18 to 40 years as on 17.10.2010. Relaxation to reserved category will be as per Haryana Govt. policy.
16. Submission of incomplete application may render the candidates ineligible.
17. Application received after the last date of submission will not be entertained. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay in submission of the application.

The University at present offers 125 programmes of study through 1000 courses to a cumulative student strength of about 14,33,490. These programmes are offered in widely diverse areas and at different levels covering Doctorate degree, Master’s and Bachelor’s degree, Postgraduate and Undergraduate diplomas and certificates.

The education is disseminated in conventional as well as emerging inter-disciplinary areas such as Consumer Protection, Disaster Management, Environment, Human Rights, Tourism, Women Empowerment and Child Development, Participatory Forest Management, Participatory Planning, Resettlement and Rehabilitation, Teacher Education, Food and Nutrition, Continuing Medical and Health Education, HIV/AIDs, Laboratory Techniques, and On-line Learning. One of the notable contributions has been to achieve greater access to programmes which were hitherto exclusively limited to face-to-face classroom transactions. These include Physical and Natural Sciences, Nursing, Health, Engineering and Technology, Computers, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Library and Information Sciences.

· Candidates who satisfied with the previous allotment should not exercise options again.
· You can also give options for those colleges even if the vacancies are not available as vacancies may arise due to sliding, cancellations and conversions.

· Candidates can Exercise their options afresh from 22-09-2010 to 25-09-2010

The University of North Bengal was established by Act of the Legislature of West Bengal in 1962 and assigned the mandate of providing teaching, training and research in various branches of advanced learning , and promoting the dissemination of knowledge to fulfill growing socio-economic and technical manpower needs in the six North Bengal districts and the neighbouring state of Sikkim . The campus occupies an area of about 330 acres 9 km outside Siliguri and Bagdogra Airport in the Terai region of Darjeeling district. The University Act was revised under West Bengal Act of XXV of 1981 and it came into force with effect from September 16 , 1981.

1. RATIONALE: In the era of globalization, it has become essential to possess the knowledge of various engineering disciplines. The aim of introducing this course is to impart knowledge of basic concepts ofelectrical engineering to the students of other branches.
